Fruity and intense!
Aiora red 2019 Moschopolis Winery has a deep purple color and seductive nose, with aromas of butter, sour cherry, cherry jam, blueberry, and plum. Green pepper, lavender, and fresh soil complete the uniquely special aromatic ensemble.
In the mouth, it has a medium body, with crisp acidity and silky tannins. Cherry, blackberry, sour cherry, butterscotch, pink peppercorn, and vanilla are exploding on the palate. Notes of fresh soil and ripe raspberry complete the juicy whole.
What you do not know is that the red Aiora 2019 is really 10 times better than the previous one, that was already perfect! But how they do it?
First of all, the blend consists of Mavrotragano, Xinomavro, and Syrah which are fermented, at controlled temperatures, in stainless steel tanks. Then, the wine ages in special clay amphorae from Crete, for at least 2 months. They avoid using oak barrels because their goal is to create a red wine without much interference and "makeup". A wine dominated by the fruity character and the explosive aromas of the 3 varieties. And they do it incredibly well.
